Stop Doing It Solo

Something my clients tell me all the time? Leadership is lonely. When you’re responsible for your people (and/or business) you lose the feeling of having ‘peers’.  People who you can talk to, that can help you realise that you’re not alone, and remind you that what you’re going through is normal.

A lesson that literally everyone needs to learn at some point in their career: You don’t have to do everything solo.

Actually, I recommend NOT trying to go it alone.

Better alternatives include getting a coach or joining a community that you can bounce ideas off.

Or both 🔥

✨ I have a coach – they help me with my focus and accountability, mindset, and delivering the best I can to my clients

✨ I’m part of a mastermind community – they share similar values to me, remind me that I’m not alone, and encourage me to be better.

The decision of joining a mastermind group was one of my favourite decisions in the last couple of years. It has been so helpful to have a sounding board of other business owners who get it. We’re all in about the same spots, but run very different businesses, so we have a lot to learn from and give to each other.

We normally meet online, but here’s a photo of the last time we got together in person to do some pottery…

My coach and the community have influence me in two ways.

  1. Encouraging my 1:1 clients to chat about the work stuff they can’t talk to anyone about (it’s tough being the boss)

  2. To include a group component for my up-coming Solo to CEO program.  It’s so important for you to be able to learn alongside others as well as from me. I know that you’ll also gain a lot from the others within the group who are working through the same challenges because they’re doing it right beside you. Those potential relationships are invaluable. If this sounds like something you need, you can get on the waitlist here.

We’re in this together,

Kate
