Next Retreat: Thursday 15 -Sunday 18 August 2019

why this retreat?

One of the biggest myths sold to us as children is that adults have it all figured out and that we will too, once we grow up. As adults, we realise how far from the truth this really is, yet many of us still try to keep that illusion alive and walk through life as if we know what we are doing – taking ourselves very seriously, setting goals, accomplishing milestones, ticking all the boxes in the hope that, at the end, happiness awaits. Actually, we become masters of doing. And, in the process, we lose track of the being.

And then comes a time when, either prompted by some sort of disruption, of sudden change or perhaps without any external warning, we wake up to the reality that we are not really sure why we are doing what we are doing. And we start wondering who we are, really.

Some people call that a personal crisis. Others, wiser ones, call it fertile ground for personal transformation. That magical land of not-knowing that can equally frightening and incredibly ripe with opportunities. It is at these times of uncertainty about ourselves, our relationships, our lives that we are invited to stop the doing and step into the being.

It is at times like these that we need to actually create a pause in our busy lives. A pause to breathe, reflect on the past, plant our feet deeply into the present, get in touch with our deeper wisdom, with our internal resources and then take that awareness into envisioning a whole new future – one with fewer boxes to tick and clearer intentions for a more conscious way of being.

At Zenith Journey, we create the safe and nourishing space for that much needed PAUSE.

In this three day retreat we invite our participants to step out of their busy lives and into a different space - a place o reflection, learning, being, reconnecting. We bring together many ingredients to facilitate that connection to self – a beautiful location in-midst of nature, amazing food cooked by our resident chef, gentle yoga and mindfulness practice to bring us back in tune with our bodies and minds, all intermingled with the newest concepts and practices from neuroscience, positive psychology, coaching and adult development. We keep our retreats small - up to 12 people - so there is enough space for one on one interactions and a deep dive into meaningful conversations with self.
